A year has a shape to it — the plants that flower, the traditions that mark each month, the old knowledge that belongs to a specific week and no other. The Almanac is that shape, gathered into a box and sent to someone's door.

Each month, the person you're giving this to will receive a box from our studio in East Cornwall containing two original signed art prints, a 32-page illustrated zine on the folklore and plant lore of that month, a printed moon phase calendar, and something seasonal — a quarterly tea blend, a foraged botanical, a hand-made object from the hedgerow tradition. The contents change with the season because the season is the point.

The zine is written and illustrated by hand. The prints are signed. There is a handwritten note in every box. Nothing in it is mass-produced, and everything in it celebrates the month you are in and helps you live closer to nature and the changing seasons. 

What arrives each month

Two original signed art prints featuring Cornish moorland or hedgerow scenes or aspects of nature relevant to the month. 

A 32-page illustrated zine covering the folklore, plant lore, and seasonal traditions of that specific month — what is in flower, what was gathered, what the old herbalists knew, what the hedgerow is doing right now.

A printed moon phase calendar for the month.

A seasonal item — the quarterly tea blend, a botanical specimen, a hand-ground incense, a foraged herb bundle, or a hand-made object. These are exclusive to the box and not available in the shop.

How it works

Choose the length — 3, 6, or 12 months. The first box ships at the end of the month you order in. Each box after that ships between the 25th and 27th of each month. The subscription runs for the full term with no renewal — it ends when the gift period is complete.
