The Hedgerow & Moor Almanac is a monthly subscription box for people who love nature, folklore, seasonal living and original art. Handmade in Cornwall, each month's box follows the turning of the year through British folklore, plant lore, wildlife, traditional customs and the changing landscape.
What's inside each box
- Original signed art prints
- An illustrated seasonal zine
- A moon phase calendar
- Carefully chosen seasonal treasures inspired by that point in the year
Each edition is built around a specific month in the seasonal calendar and explores what is happening in the landscape at that moment — what is flowering in the hedgerow, what traditions were once observed, what folklore was attached to particular plants, and what wildlife is arriving, nesting or migrating.
A July Almanac might explore the Dog Days of Sirius, yarrow in flower and the folklore of high summer. An October Almanac might follow Samhain traditions, autumn berries and the beginning of the dark half of the year. The contents change because the season changes.
Created and illustrated by Emma Heywood in East Cornwall, the Almanac combines original artwork, traditional knowledge and seasonal observation into a collectible series that unfolds throughout the year.
Whether you're looking for a subscription box for nature lovers, a British folklore subscription, a plant lore journal, a seasonal living gift or a monthly art print subscription, the Almanac brings together the stories, plants and traditions of the British year in one carefully curated package.
