A hand-illustrated 32-page folklore zine, signed art prints, botanical treasures and a collectible wooden animal totem arrive with every box, everything you need to experience each month at its fullest and stay close to the rhythm of the natural world.

A year has a shape to it, the plants that flower, the traditions that mark each month, the old knowledge that belongs to a specific week and no other. The Almanac is that shape, gathered into a box and sent to someone's door.

Each month, the person you're giving this to will receive a box from our studio in East Cornwall containing two original signed art prints, a 32-page illustrated zine on the folklore and plant lore of that month, a printed moon phase calendar, and something seasonal. The contents change with the season because the season is the point.

The zine is written and illustrated by hand. The prints are signed. There is a handwritten note in every box. Nothing in it is mass-produced, and everything in it celebrates the month you are in and helps you live closer to nature and the changing seasons.

What arrives each month

Two original signed art prints featuring Cornish moorland or hedgerow scenes or aspects of nature relevant to the month.

A 32-page illustrated zine covering the folklore, plant lore, and seasonal traditions of that specific month, what is in flower, what was gathered, what the old herbalists knew, what the hedgerow is doing right now.

A printed moon phase calendar for the month.

A botanical tea blend, made for the season.

A seasonal item, hand-blended incense, a notebook, or a product sample from the studio. These are exclusive to the box and not available in the shop.

How it works

The first box ships from the date of your order, so if you order on the 20th of the month, your first box will arrive shortly after. If you would prefer the subscription to begin from the following month, simply add a note at checkout and we will make sure it starts when you need it to. Each subsequent box ships just before the start of the new month. The subscription runs for the full twelve months with no renewal, ending when the gift period is complete.
