Subscription Policy – Monthly Almanac Box

Our Monthly Almanac Box subscription is designed to be simple, flexible, and transparent. Please read the following information carefully before subscribing.

Subscription overview

When you subscribe to the Monthly Almanac Box, you will receive one box per month at the subscription price shown at checkout, plus postage. Subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled or paused.

Each monthly edition is created in limited numbers and reflects the season it represents.

Billing and renewal

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly, on the same date each month based on when you first subscribe.

  • Payment will be taken automatically using the payment method provided at checkout.

  • You will receive a confirmation email after each successful payment.

Cancellation and pausing

  • You may cancel or pause your subscription at any time through your customer account.

  • Changes must be made before your next billing date to avoid being charged for the upcoming month.

  • Once a monthly payment has been processed, that month’s box cannot be cancelled or refunded.

There is no minimum commitment.

Shipping and delivery

  • Subscription boxes are shipped once per month.

  • Dispatch dates may vary slightly depending on production schedules and seasonal factors.

  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and apply to each monthly delivery.

If you subscribe partway through a month, your first box will normally be the next available edition unless otherwise stated on the product page.

Limited quantities

Monthly Almanac Boxes are produced in small, limited runs. If a month’s allocation sells out, subscriptions for that edition may close early and resume with the following month.

Discount for subscribers

Subscribers receive a 15% discount code each month, included inside their box.

  • The discount code is valid for the month stated.

  • It can be used once per customer unless otherwise specified.

  • Discount codes cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be applied retrospectively to previous orders.

One-off purchases

Customers who purchase a one-off Monthly Almanac Box are not enrolled in a subscription and will not be charged again unless they choose to subscribe separately.

Returns and refunds

Due to the limited, seasonal nature of the Monthly Almanac Box, subscriptions are non-refundable once a box has been dispatched.

If your box arrives damaged or there is an issue with your order, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and we will do our best to resolve the issue.

Changes to the subscription

We may occasionally update the contents, pricing, or structure of the subscription. Any significant changes will be communicated in advance where possible.

As keepers of plant lore, we are gathering and sharing the knowledge of our native
herbs — the ones once found in cottage gardens, moorland edges, and kitchen

Meet the makers

Hedgerow & Moor was founded by Emma Heywood and Morten Pedersen in 2021. Emma is an artist and illustrator based in Cornwall whose work is deeply inspired by nature, folklore, and traditional craft.

With a qualification in Cosmetic Science and a lifelong fascination with the wild plants of the British landscape, Emma brings an artist’s eye to every formulation — combining research, intuition, and storytelling to create products that feel both timeless and grounded. Her approach blends science with symbolism, connecting the everyday rituals of modern life to the ancient rhythms of the land.

In 2017 Emma and her partner Morten Pedersen, invented the revolutionary shampoo cube concept, which is now proudly sold under the Hedgerow & Moor brand.

Morten is from Denmark, with a background in engineering, safety compliance and operations management. He ensures that the manufacturing of the products is carried out safely and to the highest standard.

Hedgerow & Moor aims to preserve and share the knowledge of how plants were once used for healing, beauty, and wellbeing — and how they can once again take centre stage in our lives.
